Ukrainian mezzo-soprano Anastasiya Martyniuk was born in Moldova, where she began her musical education at the Zaporozhye Musical College and later continued her studies at the Chisinau Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts. From 2005 to 2007, she was a fellow of the Central & Eastern European Musiktheater at the Vienna Opera in Austria.

From 2006 to 2018, she was a member of the National Opera of Moldova. During this period, she also collaborated extensively with the National Philharmonic and the Organ Hall. She is a diploma recipient of the Maria Bieșu International Competition (Chișinău, 2012), a semifinalist of the Belvedere Competition (2012), and a diploma recipient of the Minsk International Christmas Competition (2017).

In the 2025/26 season, she returns to the National Theatre Brno to perform the role of Amneris in Aida.

Among her recent engagements is her debut as Azucena at the Odessa Opera Theatre (director: Thilo Reinhardt; conductor: Igor Chernetski). In the summer of 2025, she appeared at the Immling Festival (Germany), performing the title role in Bizet’s Carmen (conductor: Cornelia von Kerssenbrock; director: Ini Gerath).

Since 2018, Anastasiya Martyniuk has been a soloist of the Odessa National Opera and Ballet Theatre, where she has performed leading mezzo-soprano roles such as Amneris, Carmen, and Fenena. She has also collaborated with the National Theatre Brno, where in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons she performed Fenena in Nabucco (director: Jiří Heřman; conductor: Pavel Šnajdr), as well as the title role in Bizet’s Carmen (director: Tomáš Pilař; conductor: Ondrej Olos).

She has further collaborated with the Olomouc Opera, appearing in the 2022/23 season as Fenena in Nabucco (director: Jana Andělová-Pletichová; conductor: Petr Šumnik).
