Most, Gustav Wenzel

Gustav Wenzel Most has studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, the Danish National Academy of Music, Opernschule HMDK Stuttgart, and the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna in Austria. He has performed on prominent stages such as the Vienna State Opera, Vienna City Hall and Hofburg in Vienna. A student of Ramón Vargas and Thilo Dahlmann.

In Denmark, he appeared last season as a soloist with several regional orchestras, including Copenhagen Phil, Danish Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and Odense Symphony Orchestra.

The repertoire included works by Gade, Mendelssohn, Puccini, and Wagner.

In the summer of 2026, he was selected as a scholarship recipient by the Richard Wagner Society and will travel to Bayreuth to attend the Bayreuther Festspiele.

Gustav is also an active lied and oratorio singer and often appearing as a soloist in, among others, Händel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem, Haydn’s The Creation, as well as several performances of Schubert’s Die schöne Müllerin, which he originally studied under the guidance of the tenor Ian Bostridge.

In spring 2026, he has recorded the work Dornröschen by the composer Joachim Raff with the Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen in Stuttgart, Germany.

Gustav is a recipient of the 2026 Léonie Sonning Talent Prize.
