Trenogina, Tatiana

Tatiana Trenogina is a dramatic soprano and a leading soloist of the Latvian National Opera in Riga, where she has appeared in a wide range of principal roles, including Abigaille in Nabucco, Lady Macbeth, Aida, Tosca, Salome, Adriana Lecouvreur, Cio-Cio-San (Madama Butterfly) and Lisa (The Queen of Spades).

Upcoming engagements include the Marschallin in Richard Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier and Amelia in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera at the Latvian National Opera, as well as Elsa in Wagner’s Lohengrin at the Staatstheater Cottbus.

She graduated with honours from the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow, where she studied with Galina Pisarenko, and continued her artistic development at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Brussels under the guidance of bass-baritone José van Dam.

Her international engagements have included appearances at La Monnaie – Royal Opera House Brussels in productions of Boris Godunov and Prokofiev’s The Fiery Angel, conducted by Kazushi Ono. She also made her debut at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow as Iolanta.

In concert, she recently made her Spanish debut, performing Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at the Teatro Real in Madrid and appearing as the soprano soloist in Verdi’s Requiem at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid. Her other notable concert appearances include the Palais des Beaux-Arts Brussels, Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg, Theatre San Marino and international festivals throughout Europe and Asia.

A laureate of more than fifteen international competitions, she has received prizes at the Maria Callas Grand Prix, the Queen Elisabeth Competition, the Vincenzo Bellini Competition, the Renata Tebaldi Competition and the Galina Vishnevskaya Competition.
