From Rossini and Mozart to Verdi and Puccini, June presents a diverse selection of repertoire for Ascolta Artists singers, with performances in Germany, Denmark, and Poland.
Mezzo-soprano Clàudia Ribas takes on the title role in Rossini’s Tancredi at Oper Frankfurt. One of the composer’s most celebrated opera seria works, Tancredi offers its leading artist the opportunity to combine bel canto virtuosity with profound dramatic expression. Performances take place on 7, 11, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, and 28 June.
On 11 and 13 June, soprano Lilla Lee appears as Aida at Teatr Wielki in Poznań, performing Verdi’s iconic heroine in one of opera’s most demanding dramatic roles.
From 12 June, mezzo-soprano Sibylle Glosted joins the cast of Il barbiere di Siviglia at Danish National Opera, singing Rosina in a Danish-language production. Further performances follow on 13, 21, 26, and 27 June.
Later in the month, tenor James Lee returns to Puccini’s Turandot as Calaf at Landestheater Niederbayern. Following the premiere on 20 June, additional performances are scheduled for 23, 26, and 28 June, as well as 3, 5, 11, and 18 July.
