The 2026/27 season is getting underway, with September bringing a rich mix of opera, orchestral repertoire and concert performances for Ascolta Artists across Denmark and Germany. The season opens in Denmark with a number of major concert performances. On 5 September, soprano Frederikke Kampmann appears with Danish Chamber Orchestra in Mozart’s celebrated Mass in C minor. Sofie Elkjær Jensen continues her September engagements with Copenhagen Phil, performing Benjamin Britten’s powerful War Requiem on 11 and 12 September

With the summer season in full swing, Ascolta Artists continue to share their artistry in opera houses, festivals, and concert halls across Northern Europe throughout August. The month begins with baritone Teit Kanstrup, who opens a new series of performances as Günther in Peter Bruun’s Erna og kroen at Hotel Pro Forma. Summer continues with an exciting array of festival appearances, opera premieres, and concert performances for Ascolta Artists. Throughout July, our artists take the stage at some of the season’s most distinguished festivals and opera houses, bringing a rich variety of repertoire to audiences. The month opens with soprano Johanna Nylund, who returns to the Savonlinna Opera Festival in Finland as the Countess in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro. Set in the spectacular medieval Olavinlinna Castle, the festival remains one of Europe’s most prestigious summer opera events. Performances take place on 3, 13, 16, 20 July.

From Rossini and Mozart to Verdi and Puccini, June presents a diverse selection of repertoire for Ascolta Artists singers, with performances in Germany, Denmark, and Poland. Mezzo-soprano Clàudia Ribas takes on the title role in Rossini's Tancredi at Oper Frankfurt. One of the composer's most celebrated opera seria works, Tancredi offers its leading artist the opportunity to combine bel canto virtuosity with profound dramatic expression. Performances take place on 7, 11, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, and 28 June.

May opens with a series of appearances that place Ascolta Artists on both opera and concert stages throughout the month. Tenor Fabian Düberg remains in residence at Theater Bremen as part of his ensemble engagement for the 2025/26 season, continuing his work with the company into the summer period. On May 10, Jens Søndergaard appears in a Promenade Concert with Ensemble Esbjerg, in a format that brings performers and audience into close connection.

A vibrant and engaging month lies ahead for Ascolta Artists, with a wide spectrum of performances ranging from sacred masterpieces to opera and contemporary theatre. At the beginning of April, tenor Conny Thimander appears as the Evangelist in Bach’s Johannespassion with the Orquestra Gulbenkian in Lisbon (April 1 & 2). In this pivotal role, he shapes the narrative with precision and expressive intensity, guiding the audience through the music’s powerful dramatic arc.

From Copenhagen to Cologne, from Helsinki to Hong Kong, Ascolta Artists are present on some of Europe’s most distinguished stages throughout March 2026. At Det Kongelige Teater, Sofie Lund performs Norina in Don Pasquale across multiple March dates. Later in the month, Sibylle Glosted appears as Papagena in Papageno og Papagena and Annina in Der Rosenkavalier, continuing a strong presence of our artists at the Royal Danish Theatre.

February marks another dynamic chapter for Ascolta Artists, with our artists appearing in leading opera houses across Europe in a wide spectrum of repertoire and creative projects. Fabian Düberg joins the ensemble of Theater Bremen for the 2025/26 season, with performances throughout February as part of his ensemble contract. Sidsel Eriksen performs the role of Sœur Mathilde in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites at The Royal Danish Theatre (Det Kongelige Teater), on 8, 18, 21, 24 and 26 February.

The new year opens with an inspiring series of performances, as our artists begin 2026 with orchestral concerts, opera productions, and recordings spanning Denmark, Estonia, Sweden, and beyond. In Denmark, the year is welcomed in festive spirit with the New Year Concerts of the Randers Kammerorkester, featuring Marlene Metzger and Francine Vis. The concerts take place on January 3, 4, and 11, offering audiences an elegant and joyful musical start to 2026.

As the concert season moves into the festive period, Ascolta Artists appear in opera productions, holiday concerts, and major oratorio performances throughout December. The month begins with Canadian baritone Jonah Spungin, who continues his role in Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen at Landestheater Detmold. His schedule is particularly rich, with performances in Winterthur, Switzerland on 5, 7, and 10 December, followed by appearances in Detmold on 11, 19, and 26 December. His engagement continues into 2026 with dates in Wolfsburg on 14 and 28 January, as well as further performances on 31 January; 1 and 7 February; 18 March; and 21 May.
